Business Startup Cost

Traditional Businesses

As a side note we took a look at the business startup cost for a several traditional business opportunities. Each of these would require full-time staff and significant operating capital. The numbers reflected here is just the cost to earn the right to sell to a customer base that would still need to be developed.

The McDonald's Corporation:
Everyone wants to own a McDonald's; but you'll need deep pockets as the require a minimum of $250,000 of non-borrowed personal resources to consider you for a franchise. In other words you need $250,000 cash on hand to just start the discussion process with McDonald's.

Car Wash:
Were you to build or buy a six bay self-serve car wash you could expect to pay somewhere between $400,000 and $500,000.

Vending Machines:
If you like quarters then the candy vending machines business is for you. Machines typically range from $150 to $475 each. Reliable soda machines start around $2000.

Coin Laundry:
There are a lot of variables in the category, but our research shows a number of existing businesses for sale ranging from $83,000 to $400,000.

Convenience Store with Gas:
These are definitely all over the map. We found listing from $275,000 to $4.2 Million.

Remember the numbers shown here are estimates of what you would need to open the doors – this does not include advertising, stocking, facilities maintenance, employee costs, taxes, etc.

After reviewing the up front cost to start a traditional brick and mortar business it quickly becomes apparent why some many people are willing to consider Network Marketing opportunities.
