Organization 101

If you include statements in your resume that highlight your organizational skills, high energy, motivation, etc, make sure that you can deliver. A reasonable interview question might be "give me an example of how you structure your work, manage your workload, track projects and so on". If this is an area that you are weak in you should consider investing in a continuing education courses that improve these skills. One that I recently attended – yes, I’m sometimes a be a bit scattered - was taught by Eddie Williams , a senior trainer and curriculum developer for Weber Associates, A Time Management & Workforce Development Company. Instantly I knew I was on the right track when I saw the course title, "I'm Spread So Thin...You Can See Through Me". After completing the course, I now have a system in place to ensure follow-up and track on-going projects.

I’m particularly impressed how several of the Workforce Development & Training companies have integrated their products into the digital world. You might also want to review the Franklin Covey line of products. Whichever system you choose, make sure that you get help integrating the system into your life, otherwise it is a fruitless effort.
